The impetus for making this painting was my lovely and insect-loving sister, who made a fabulous quilt, using many offcuts from my sewing. I’m afraid I rather strong-armed it from her, and needed to make amends.
As I said at the time: So, I have been quiet for over a week because I wandered off at another tangent. This is a mashup of my sister’s beautiful UK insect photos and my love of the cheaper type of Moroccan tiles. Plus it is a bit quilt like and Alice makes the best quilts..
