Telling stories
Later in 2020, I took a course from Tracy Verdugo, about telling stories through art. It was strange and rather disturbing, I loved it. I found that inspiration for stories can be found in random words, poetry, and in strange conjunctions.
Here are a few of those story paintings. Because of course, like any experimental form, some of them didn’t work at all.
I used acrylic for all of these story paintings but not just acrylic. There was plenty of collage and other kinds of mark making as well.
Some of the images are in sketchbooks, others made it out onto A3 sheets of watercolour paper.
